Ballet classes consist of barre, centre floor and progressions across the floor. Our experienced instructors give hands-on instruction and accurate demonstrations! A strong ballet foundation will allow students to stand out in other areas of dance.
Pointe - Students desiring to dance en pointe must have a strong ballet foundation and good understanding of proper technique. Students must be pre-approved before beginning pointe. Pointe work requires tremendous strength of the ankles, feet and legs and is very demanding on the body. Students wishing to begin pointe require the approval of the instructor and director. First year pointe students should be prepared emotionally, as well as physically, for the dedication that is required to excel in pointe. Special instruction will be given to first year students and their parents on how to care for their shoes and feet. Students purchasing pointe shoes for the first time should obtain the approval of the instructor before wearing or sewing.
